At least three soldiers of Indian security forces were killed in a terrorist attack in Khour area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor sector, the sources reported on Monday.
According to Indian media reports, the terror attack took place around 2am in the dark of night in Akhnoor sector close to the international border at 1:30 am.
The media reports said terrorists launched attack at General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) where three of its worker lost their lives.
According to the reports, the sound of gunshots is no more heard but the region has been cordoned off.
It should be mentioned here that the GREF is the parent cadre force of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) that builds and maintains roads along the border in the country.
After cordoning off the entire area, search operation has been kick-started to track down the terrorists. A high alert has been sounded in the region.
