A female Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader claimed on Wednesday that she was manhandled by security officials at the Supreme Court (SC) as she tried to enter the building to attend the hearing of the ongoing Panamagate case.

“They pulled my clothes and did not let me in and I had to wait there until Naeem (PTI spokesperson) came,” PTI leader Uzma Kardar said while speaking to the media after the incident.

“Now, I have come to know that they have put the blame of breaking the court’s door on me but it was broken by them. Four ladies [security officials] attacked me and hit my head [against a wall],” Kardar added.

According to the PTI leader, she regularly accompanies party chief Imran Khan to the apex court to attend the hearing of the Panamagate case. However, she did not have her CNIC with her on Wednesday due to which the security staff did not let her go inside the building.

Earlier, media reports said PTI spokesperson Naeemul Haq mediated between Kardar and the security officials and agreed to bear the expenses to install a new door at the entrance of the court building.
